 Gary Belhumeur was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island in 1956. Living in a military family, he traveled extensively overseas and in the United States. After graduating high school in 1974, Gary entered the United States Air Force as an Aerial Combat Photographer. During his career, he traveled extensively, documenting fast-breaking world military events for the national news media. Serving in many hazardous situations, Gary Belhumeur was awarded numerous military decorations and awards for his actions. While in the military, Gary continued his education and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with special emphasis in Advertising and Marketing. He came to Colorado in 1986 as Branch Chief, Instructor and Curriculum Developer at the Air Force's Television Production School at Lowry AFB, Colorado. After 15 years distinguished service, Gary was medically discharged due to combat injuries and was awarded Disabled Veteran status. After several years at Update Productions as the Television Production Manager, Gary decided to start a career in Real Estate. |  | | | | |
Cindy Belhumeur was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1956. After graduating from Apollo High School in 1974, she worked as an Inventory Control Specialist till 1978 when she relocated to Denver, Colorado. Cindy has lived in several parts of the city since 1978 and has a tremendous knowledge of the Denver Metro area. Soon after arriving in Denver, Cindy attended the University of Colorado at Denver. In 1980, Cindy opened Colfax Video, the first video store in Denver. She managed and operated the store and opened a second store as video became more popular. The stores were very popular and successful due to Cindy's keen awareness for customer service and satisfaction. Cindy then moved on to a Customer Service position at Shafer Commercial Seating for over 10 years before joining Gary in the Real Estate business. Her special emphasis is with buyers and customer service. This active couple "recharge their batteries" by enjoying Colorado to it's fullest. When time permits, Gary and Cindy enjoy a variety of outdoor recreation. The Belhumeur's love to travel and experience what the world offers. Living and selling Real Estate in Colorado is a dream come true for the Belhumeurs.

Titles >Holding Title to A Condo With condominiums becoming increasingly popular among today's homebuyers, it is a good time to clarify the terms of ownership that seem to confuse many people. Condo-type residences most commonly fall into two categories - condominiums and townhouses.
A condominium is usually a multi-story structure. Each owner-resident has a deed of ownership for his own unit and owns the space within the unit, but not the land under the structure. Therefore, condo units can be stacked vertically. Condo owners share title to the common areas of the development, including land, exterior of buildings, hallways, roofs and swimming pools -- all areas used by all occupants. Each owner pays property taxes on their unit. Also, a monthly fee is paid to the homeowners' association that is used for managing and maintaining all common areas.
A townhouse, or town home community is usually a series of single- or two-story housing units, each linked to each other horizontally by common walls. Each owner hold title to their unit and the land beneath it, thus these units cannot be stacked vertically. Typically, a townhouse unit will be a two-story residence, with the living area downstairs and bedrooms upstairs. Common areas belonging to the townhouse development are owned jointly. Each townhouse owner pays property taxes and association fees.
